Designed event marketing collateral across campus organizations — finance speaker series, hospitality forums, corporate visit campaigns, and global youth events. Built reusable templates and multi-format exports for social, print, and email.

What needed solving
Campus events compete for student attention across social media, email, and physical bulletin boards. Event collateral needs to communicate credibility, urgency, and value in a single glance — while staying on-brand for each organization.
research & audience analysis
Students scroll past generic flyers — they stop for events that look like they matter.
- Studied what drives event attendance on campus — speaker credibility, career relevance, and visual polish.
- Analyzed competing event promotions to identify visual patterns that cut through noise.
- Mapped information hierarchy: event title → date/location → speakers → corporate sponsors.
- Gathered feedback from club members on which poster styles generated the most RSVPs.
design process
- Created poster templates with consistent brand identity for recurring event series.
- Designed Columbia Investment & Finance Society speaker events featuring Bloomberg Media, Citi, AMEX, and Deloitte leaders.
- Produced Business Management Club posters for hospitality leadership and Sotheby's speaker evenings.
- Built AIESEC Youth to Business Forum campaigns — launch banners, Domino's-sponsored event graphics, and informational RSVP posters.
- Led TIBA corporate visit creative for Celonis at One World Trade Center with partner photography and event logistics.
- Balanced information density with visual breathing room — enough detail to inform, enough space to intrigue.
- Produced Instagram, print, and email variations from a single design system per campaign.
design strategy
Professional events deserve professional design — visual quality signals event quality.
- Used navy and white as anchor colors to convey institutional credibility aligned with Columbia branding.
- Featured speaker headshots with corporate affiliations to build trust and attendance intent.
- Structured layouts with clear typographic hierarchy — title, date, location, speakers, sponsors.
- Adapted visual tone per organization — corporate polish for finance events, energetic gradients for global forums.
- Maintained consistent visual language across TIBA, Investment Society, and campus club materials.
